A month, an year, a decade or a life

some voids can not be filled even with time

some faces & some memories in our hearts survive

only to be buried with us after this life.

Reasons fail and feelings unexpressed

why a grief stricken heart cant be put to rest

what aches more is an unsaid goodbye

one moment we were together

and in another, you became a star in the sky.

Your smile that once felt so warm

still exists within those walls

but to hold you again in my arms

I know now I can never feel that calm.

Those twinkling eyes filled with  love and care

there is no one now with whom I can share

your touch that healed the pains I hide

it amazed me how you always read my mind.
